The stated "numerous full-color reproductions" is inaccurate. Nineteen images are squeezed inside the back cover. The images inside the book are invented to complement the fictionalized words of Gauguin's daughter and also wood-cut style portions of Gauguin's work. Many of them are nudes. As an art teacher who chops books apart to use for bulletin boards, this book was a disappointment.
